I am a wife, a mother and a teacher. I am married to a wonderful man, Michael. He is a financial advisor in Louisville, and we have two equally wonderful (but keep us on our toes) children; Grant, almost 6 years old and Abigail, almost 3 years old.

I started this teaching journey 14 years ago, spending most of my years in the primary grades, mostly 2nd grade. I loved, loved teaching 2nd and 3rd graders. Then I was thrown a curve and moved to teach "the big kids" in a 4th/5th grade split class. Well, I was terrified and fully expected to return to the primary grades after teaching the split class. However, that did not happen. I have now taught 5th grade for three years, and feel that this is where I belong!
